Hello! Welcome to my home page. Click the buttons below to learn more about me and my books.
Here are all the books I’ve written with a short description of what each one is about. I’ve included links to where you can get them.
The Trouble with Cauliflower
Illustrated by Jim Harris
In this picture book, Mortimer, a koala bear, thinks that eating cauliflower gives him bad luck. His friend, Sadie, an ostrich, tries to teach him that you create your own luck, with funny results. The illustrations by Jim Harris are adorable and hilarious.
What Should a Hippo Wear?
Illustrated by Lynn Munsinger
Bertha the Hippo is invited to the jungle dance but has trouble finding a dress that fits. She finds a way to get dressed up, even wearing grass eyelashes glued on with mud, but her plans change when her date shows up.
Confessions of an Orange Octopus
Illustrated by Jim Spence
Nine-year old Chooch learns to juggle and wants to perform on street corners to earn money. The problem is that his parents are dead set against the idea.
Me and the Weirdos
Illustrated by Sandy Kossin
Cindy Krinkle has an unusual family. Her father sings opera as he rides a bike that has a built-in umbrella. Her mother always wears red sneakers and gargles with orange juice. Her sister reads the entire dictionary and wears a karate suit to the beach. Cindy has lots of funny adventures trying to “un-weird” her embarrassing family.
Not Even Mrs. Mazursky
Illustrated by Joan Drescher
Stella wishes she had her favorite teacher, Mrs. Mazursky, again this year. Instead, she has mean Mrs. Rashoon, plus some best-friend problems.
School Visits and Guest Author Presentations
I love speaking to groups of all ages about the writing process and the trials and rewards of being a writer. My presentations are designed to inform, entertain, and inspire children to want to write themselves.
